แถลงกิจกรรมเทนนิสนัดพิเศษ คุณสุวัจน์ ลิปตพัลลภ นายกลอนเทนนิสสมาคมแห่งประเทศไทย ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ เป็นประธานงานแถลงข่าวกิจกรรมที่ แคโรไลน์ วอซเนียคกี้ นักเทนนิสมือ 1 โลก, คิม ไคลจ์สเตอร์ส รวมถึงพี่น้องฝาแฝด บ็อบ - ไมค์ ไบรอัน จะร่วมทำในโอกาสมาแข่งขันเทนนิส “84 เวิลด์ เทนนิส อินวิเทชั่น” โดยนักเทนนิสมือท็อปโลกจะเข้าร่วมลงนามถวายพระพร ณ โรงพยาบาลศิริราช และเข้าพบนายกรัฐมนตรีที่ทำเนียบรัฐบาล รวมทั้งล่องเรือชมทัศนียภาพของกรุงเทพฯ ในวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 30 ธันวาคมนี้ |

Tennis superstars world #1 Caroline Wozniacki, world #3 Kim Clijsters and men’s world #1 doubles team Bob and Mike Bryan are about to arrive in Thailand for the new year period to compete in the 84 World Tennis Invitation – Hua Hin on 1 January 2011.
Caroline and Kim will play their singles match at Centennial Park, InterContinental Hua Hin Resort at 5pm on New Year’s Day. Their match will be followed by the men’s doubles match between the Bryans and local favourites Sonchat and Sanchai Ratiwatana.
Apart from their matches, all players will be participating in a full schedule of activities during their time in Hua Hin and Bangkok.
Caroline will touch down on 27 December and among her activities, she will take the opportunity to enjoy the Thai spa experience before playing her match.
Kim will arrive in Bangkok with her family on 29 December and transfer direct to Hua Hin. “I’ve never visited Thailand before,” said Kim. “I’d really like to know more about your culture and I’m especially attracted by the spiritual way of life.” While in Hua Hin Kim will also take part in a Thai cooking class as she lists cooking as one of her favourite activities.
On 30 December, Caroline and Kim will travel to Bangkok to sign the visitors’ book at Siriraj Hospital to wish His Majesty good health and a speedy recovery. After that, they will meet the Prime Minister HE Abhisit Vejajiva at Government House and take in a TAT-organised river tour to promote Thai tourism.
Bob and Mike Bryan arrive on 30 December and while in Hua Hin will conduct a tennis clinic for rising-star junior Thai players on 2 January and will also practice daily with top Thai juniors before they leave on 8 January.
All players will also participate in a merit-making ceremony to donate food to monks in Hua Hin on the morning of 2 January.
President of the Lawn Tennis Association of Thailand Under the Patronage of His Majesty the King, Khun Suwat Lipatapanlop added that he was sure all the players would have a wonderful time in Thailand. “Caroline, Kim, Bob and Mike have all told us they want to make the most of their time in Thailand,” he said. “We are confident they will have an enjoyable time, play some great tennis and be a huge boost for the Thai tourism industry.” All the players have confirmed they will wear pink during their matches in honour of His Majesty.
Tickets for the 84 World Tennis Invitation - Hua Hin are priced at Bt1.500 and are still available from ThaiTicketmajor outlets, Major Cineplex Hua Hin and the InterContinental Hua Hin Resort. Tickets will also be available at the venue on 1 January. |
