The results from a competition called “Creative Media and Nuclear Technology Competition” under the concept “Moving forward with the benefit of nuclear powered technology” organized by TV show “Brainchild” and the Thailand Institute of Nuclear Technology (Public Organization) are out! The winner of the under 23 year-old category is “Enjoying Learning About Nuclear Power”. This is an animation learning material and a computer game. The mastermind behind the two main characters in the story, “Nong Nuclear” and “Nong Nano” are students from Rachamagala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi, in Suphanburi province. The winner was awarded a 50,000 Baht scholarship and a trophy from the Minister of Science and Technology. The second prize, a 30,000 Baht scholarship, went to the material named “Building Block: Fuse, Release, Dissolve, Absorb”by “Khon Kaen University”. The third prize, a 20,000 Baht scholarship, went to “I Nuclear”, an electronic book and mobile game by “King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi”
For the above 23 year-old group, the first prize of 50,000 Baht and a trophy from the Minister of Science and Technology went to “Hello Nuclear” which is a computer game. The player who is a student has to write a report about the benefits of nuclear power and submit it to their teacher within 7 days. The game is created by Mr.Kovit Chanakane, Mr.Worachai Wichittrawongjaroen and Miss Kaskanok Assawayothin. The second prize of 30,000 Baht went to a computer game “Makuek and Nuclear Technology” created by Mr. Anurak Sansanasuppapong and Miss Pimwalee Rompetch. And finally the third prize worth 20,000 Baht went to a 16-page comic book entitled “Amazing Nuclear”, created by Mr.Suppapong Jiracupt.
Special awards granted in the competition:
- The “Popular Vote Award”and a 10,000 Baht prize went to “Hello Nuclear”
- “Siam Discovery Popular Vote” and a 5,000 Baht Discovery Gift Voucher went to “A Song from the Heart”
- The “Judge’s Favorite Award” and a 5,000 Baht prize went to “A Song from the Heart”
