Rising tennis star Kittipong Wachiramanowong leaves Bangkok on Sunday for eight weeks of intensive training and competition based at the Barcelona Total Tennis Academy, managed by the coaching team of world #1 Rafael Nadal.
BEC-Tero Entertainment and the Lawn Tennis Association of Thailand are proud to be able to send Kittipong to train and compete with some of the world’s best professional tennis players and coaches at the prestigious academy, before returning to compete in the PTT Thailand Open.
BTT academy is under the management of Francois Roig who works closely with Toni Nadal as part of the coaching team for Rafael Nadal and well knows how to prepare players to maximize their ability. Kittipong’s programme at BTT will include practice on both hard and clay courts, technical, tactical and mental training, conditioning, plus competition in Challenger tournaments in Europe.
“This programme will be the perfect preparation for Kittipong to make a big impact at this year’s PTT Thailand Open,” said LTAT President Suwat Lipatapanlop. “We all believe he has the talent to be a great player.”
BEC-Tero Managing Director Brian L. Marcar agreed saying, “Kittipong has huge potential. He showed in his close match with American John Isner at last year’s PTT Thailand Open that he has the ability to match it with the best players in the world, and we are proud to sponsor his attendance at one of the world’s top tennis academies.”
Kittipong will return to Thailand around mid-September before competing in the PTT Thailand Open 2010.
Other professional players to have trained at BTT include former Grand Slam champion Albert Costa and Feliciano Lopez while ATP world #90 Teimuraz Gabashvili and WTA #31 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova of Russia are amongst the professional players currently training there. |
