Thaiticketmajor, Thailand’s leading ticket distribution agent, has joined hands with New Hampshire Insurance under brand Chartis to introduce Ticket Protect, the first full refund service with insurance protection in Thailand.
The service allows ticket purchasers to receive a full refund in the event of an emergency that prevents them from attending the event in question.
Mr. Pongpanu Damrongsiri, Vice President / Personal Lines Department Manager of New Hampshire Insurance, said the company realized there was no such service in Thailand when it did research in 2008.
“We conducted research on the performance market and discovered that audiences who bought show tickets had no insurance in the event that they were unable to make it to the show and that no company had offered this service,” Mr. Pongpanu said. “With the Ticket Protect service, the first of its kind in Thailand, New Hampshire Insurance aims to serve its customers’ best interests.
Moreover we provide also Tour Sure, an insurance service for all passengers who purchase bus tickets through Thaiticketmajor. This insurance package is effective for 24 hours starting from the date and time stated on the ticket, offering a maximum medical coverage of 200,000 Baht in the event of the loss of sight, a permanent disability or the loss of life.”
Mr.Choakchai Eaimrittikrai General Manager of Thaiticketmajor, said the new service offered peace of mind for ticket buyers. “From our 11-year experience in ticket distribution, we are very aware of what our customers’ needs are. Through this service customers are provided with the assurance of a full refund in the event that they are unable to attend an event for which they had bought tickets in advance.”
With the service fee making up 7 per cent of the ticket price, Thaiticketmajor customers can enjoy special benefits such as a full refund, medical fee valued at 3,000 Baht for each ticket in case of serious injuries and a 1,000 baht compensation for car towing services in case of an accident or engine malfunction.
