In the past 2 years, “Ball Girls”, the beautiful skilled Miss Thailand World contestants, have created the bright atmosphere and excitement to ATP Thailand Open local and foreign spectators. It could be said that they are the most pretty ball kids in the biggest tennis tournament in Southeast Asia. This year, “PTT Thailand Open” opens an opportunity for Thai girls passionate for sports, smart and confident to join “PTT Thailand Open Ball Girls”.
“PTT Thailand Open Ball Girls” opens for girls, aged 18 – 25 years old, minimum height 160 cm., and currently in high school or college. For more details and application, go to www.pttthailandopen.org or Lacoste shops (Siam Center, Siam Square, Central World, Central Rama 3, Central Bangna, Central Pinklao, Central Ladprao, and the Emporium. Application date is from 1 – 31 July 2009. Only 16 persons would be selected and the final result would be announced on 10 August on www.pttthailandopen.org .
There are 6 “ball kids” in each tennis match, 4 at the corners and 2 at each side of net. Their duty is crucial as they need to pass tennis balls to tennis players, which means they need to understand the rules and regulations of tennis and have been trained to do this duty. So that they know the appropriate ways to toast and pass balls without interrupting players, especially during grand tournaments where players will be very under pressure.
PTT Thailand Open 2009 will take place from 26 September – 4 October 2009 at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani. This year, World No. 1 Rafael Nadal has confirmed his participation in this Event.

Qualifications
1. Female, aged 18 – 25 years old
2. Minimum height 160 cm.
3. Currently study in high school or college
4. Good personality, confident, and ability to cope with problems
5. Basic English communication skill
Application Details
- Downloading the form here or fill out the application form at Lacoste shop (Siam Center, Siam Square, Central World, Central Rama 3, Central Bangna, Central Pinklao, Central Ladprao, and the Emporium)
- Attach one (1) full-length body photo and one (1) head shot
- Application period from 1 – 31 July 2009
- Submit the application form and photo files to info@pttthailandopen.org or at 8 specified branches of Lacoste shop
- Selected persons will be announced on 10 August 2009 on www.pttthailandopen.org
- Sixteen (16) persons will be selected.
Duties
1. Event’s PR representatives through TVs, newspaper, and magazines before the tournament starts
2. Ball girls during the tournament from 26 September – 4 October 2009
