Tor Saksit

Biography

Saksit Vejsupaporn or ToR+, was influenced by music at a very early age. Raised by a very influential father, Nakorn Vejsupaporn, a prominent figure from the renown ‘80s Thai pop band called “Grand Ex”, ToR+ Saksit is no stranger to the Thai music industry.

In 2008, ToR+ won Thailand Favorite Artist Award from MTV Asia Awards 2008 held at Genting, Malaysia. With his momentum in full swing, ToR+ continued the charge with his second studio album called ToR+ (Munk?) with great success. In 2010-2011, ToR+ continued to release more albums including a piano instrumental album plus two additional studio albums, “Piano & I Part III : Yesterday & Everyday” and “Where Is Love”.

ToR+ has now been in the music industry for over 12 years. ToR+ has released nine albums to date: his debut with B5 plus four instrumental albums and four vocal albums. After being away from the spotlight for over two years since his last album Add9 (2013), ToR+ is back with a brand new album.

Early 2015, ToR+ flew to Australia to work with Charles Fisher, an Australian producer who has worked with Savage Garden and many other successful artists.

With Charles Fisher’s help on the album, fans can expect a more mature look and sound with hints of ToR+ experience and playfulness.

Internationally, ToR+ was invited to perform at The 11th KKBox Music Awards in  Taiwan. He also performed “Fark Ma Kab Duang Dao” adapted with Chinese lyrics, much to the delight of his many Taiwanese fans. ToR+ was also a guest at the Kamen Rider Girls Mini Concert in Bangkok in July 2016. The concert also featured  “Just You and Me”, a song they collaborated on together which ToR+ composed as the Kamen Rider theme song.

He recorded with Chinese singer Joshua Jin – a famous singer-songwriter whose hit ‘Between the Rainbow’ reached 400 million views in youkou. The collaboration was an adaptation of ToR+ song called “Sak Wan Khong Dai Choe” or “Deng Deng Ai” in Chinese. The single was released in July, 2017

During a recent songwriting camp at Karma Studios in Thailand, ToR+ co-wrote a beautiful ballad entitled “Falling Into You”, which he recorded in English, with Ivory Music Philippines star, Maja Salvador. The duet was released to coincide with Valentines Day 2018.

ToR+ has also recorded “Falling Into You” in Chinese language, with the “Voice of China” star Rose Liu,  which was released to coincide with “White Valentines Day” in March 2018.

ToR+  released his second solo Chinese single “住進你心裡 (Closer To Your Heart)” on November 24th 2017.

On June 29th 2018, ToR+ released his third solo single in Mandarin, called “Give U My Heart (自然愛)” on June 29th, by Sony Music in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Malaysia. ToR+ wrote the song and plays acoustic guitar on this track.

ToR+ joined Sony ATV’s Songwriting camp in Beijing, China at the end of June 2018,  where he co-wrote two songs, possibly for his next album.
