BEC-Tero Sasana team was established in 1992. It was originally known as the Sasana Witthaya School team and was formed by Mr. Worawi Makudi. The team's first official match was played in Division 3 of the King's Cup in 1993. In 1994, the team played in Division 2 of the competition. In 1995 the team had advanced to Division 1 of the King's Cup and in 1996 joined the Thai League for the first time.
It was during that year, that Mr. Makudi and Mr. Brian L. Marcar, Managing Director of BEC-Tero Entertainment Co., Ltd., joined hands and renamed the team, Tero Sasana Football Club. The team placed 12th in its first year in the 18-team Thai League.
In 1997, Tero Sasana Football Club finished fifth in the Thai League.
In 1998, BEC-World Public Company Limited officially lent their backing to the club and the team's name was changed to BEC-Tero Sasana F.C. The team went on to finish third in the Thai League. They were also one of the eight teams to enter the final round of the F.A. Cup.
In 1999, the team again finished third in the Thai League. They also again made the final round of the F.A. Cup.
The year 2000 was an eventful one for BEC-Tero Sasana F.C. The team won its first premiership, triumphing in the Thai League. It completed the double by also winning the King's Cup.
In 2001, BEC-Tero Sasana F.C. defended its League premiership winning back-to-back titles. The team's ongoing success led to tremendous grassroots support, making it the most popular team in the league.
The year 2012 will mark the 20th anniversary of the BEC-Tero Sasana Football Club. The club continues to be one of the leading professional teams in the league and is developing some of the most promising youth players in the country. Last year BEC-Tero Sasana youth team won the F.A. Youth Cup title.
